Bats represent 20% of all mammals in the planet. They are incredibly important for us as natural pollinators and very important insect consumers. Currently 22% of the species are endangered mainly due to habitat loss. The loss of bats could cost America $3.7 billion a year in agricultural damages and insect control. There are over 450 different plant species in the world which rely on bats. These plants we use for thing such as timber and tequila.
