Coral reefs provide 50% of the world's oxygen. 35 million acres of reef have been destroyed by human activity and if it continues at its current rate all reefs will be gone by 2050. This hugely diverse habitat, home to many species is super sensitive to environmental change so pollution and tourism have very negative effects on it. We can set up projects to maintain and restore these reef areas as well as monitor the biodiversity within them.
