Education

We collaborate in a number of ways with the education sector:


1. EDI: Skills building courses:

The AWF is currently going through the EDI accreditation process with a view to offering their skills based courses from 2013.

We will be offering these internationally accredited programmes in the following areas:
Volunteering; TEFL; Employability; Entrepreneurship/ small Business Management.

This means we can incorporate internationally accredited qualifications into volunteering, field trips and, also, into school based activities.

2. School Talks:

We provide free talks on topics such as volunteering, conservation and global citizenship.

Following the success of our International Eco Film Festivals we are in a position to run one day film festivals in schools, raising awareness of important social, humanitarian and conservation issues and championing the cause of Global Citizenship.

3. EU Funding:

We collaborate with many schools, colleges and universities on EU funding programmes to support their students.

4. Field Trips:

We organise low cost field trips:
Tenerife
Creative Centre (new- film making, graphic design, photography),
Activities (diving, horse riding, trekking, sailing etc),
Whales and Dolphins,
Geography

Romania
wolves, bears, lynx, wild horses, birds, culture;

Slovenia
wolves, bears, lynx, birds, culture;

Ireland
puffins, seals, whales. dolphins, otter, birds;


5. GAIN Educational Consultancy:

In collaboration with this consultancy, we are able to offer educational establishments programmes to build student employability skills and experience on an individualised basis, and support thrm in developing their own career paths.

6. Facilitating project work/ internships/ research:

Through our projects around world and intern opportunities in our London offices.

7. TES Resources:

With 80,000 downloads of our educational resources we will be building strongly in this area.
