About the AWF

The Atlantic Whale Foundation is a British registered charity (Number 1076270), registered office and London office base : St Martins House, 59 St Martins Lane, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 4JS. It was founded to continue the work of Spanish environmental agency, Proyecto Ambiental Tenerife.

The AWF runs educational awareness programmes and the volunteer programme on the whale watching boats operating out of the ports of Los Gigantes, Puerto Colon, Las Calletas and Los Cristianos in Tenerife. Its volunteers act as 'Research Guides'. Researching resident and migrating species of whales and dolphins. Guiding involves raising awareness of conservation issues affecting the planet and inspiring tourists to join the growing AWF community of people making a difference.

It also coordinates a range of projects on four continents concerned with conservation, humanitarian and social issues, and runs a range of programmes and campaigns.

In tandem with its volunteer operations, it collaborates with three London based Community Interest Companies:

CIC: True Fair Eco Tourism

CIC: True Fair Trading

CIC: GAIN Educational Consultancy.

All three entities generate incomes to support the work and activities of the AWF
