the volunteer house

The house of volunteers feels very much like a family. There are people from many different countries coming in and out and it’s always great to meet them and hear their backgrounds and interests and we all became good friends in no time.

The House

Think hostel, not hotel.
Accommodation is provided in the research station itself, 3-12 people in a room (more if we are busy as in the summer), and in surrounding properties.

Breakfast and evening meals are provided and prepared by volunteers on a rota basis as are cleaning duties. Lunches are inexpensive in the local village and usually free if on the whale watching boats.

Make a donation, make a difference
You could be about to do something wonderful for our seas, shores and marine wildlife. Your donation will help AWdF programmes and ensure that the Atlantic Ocean is fit for life - clean waters and coasts supporting abundant marine life, healthy fish stocks and global sustainability.
